Create two different pure silver leaves with two forms of Silver Metal Clay. Real leaves serve as a base for one pendant where the clay will be painted over the leaf; the leaf will burn out in the kiln leaving a .999 pure real silver leaf. In the other pendant, the leaves will be impressed into the clay and you’ll form a unique “twig” bail. As you refine and enhance the design you will learn to use paste-style Silver Metal Clay, to attach findings to the pendant, to use natural materials to impress a design, then, and learn finishing techniques for silver clay.
Students will take one pendant home at the end of class, and pick the other up one week after class to allow for firing.
