Intermediate Fused Glass

Take your glass fusing to the next level with new techniques, including pattern bars, vitrograph, murrini, and stringer, working with reactive glasses, draping, and more! Students will build on their previous fusing skills to make more complex fused glass art pieces, and learn about  advanced firing schedules for slumping.

Each student will have time to complete four to six guided and independent, unique pieces, depending on size and complexity, including candle holders, sushi platters, bowls, and art pieces, in this fast-paced class.

Prerequisite: Completion of one or more beginning fused glass classes. 

Four class meetings: Friday, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, (no class 11/12), 11/19, 6:30-9:00pm

$180 Tuition (Early Bird and Bring a Friend discounts available) plus $90 Materials Kit Fee 

Wear comfortable “work” clothes, with closed shoes, hair tied back, and no loose scarves or sleeves that could present a hazard.

COVID-19: Students are required to be fully vaccinated in order to attend this class. 

Students are required to agree to and execute COVID-19 and General Liability releases prior to beginning the class.

Instructor Glenn Evans is a fused glass artist and teaches beginning to advanced fused glass theory and techniques including vitrigraph, pattern bars and raking. He holds BS and MS degrees in physics, which have informed his lifetime of experience in creative and technical endeavors and his involvement with maker skills.
