No prerequisites – Ages 14 to adult – All experience levels welcome!
With a simple butane torch and copper shapes, you will learn the basics of enameling on copper and end up with a pair of gorgeous earrings as well as a pendant or key fob.
Color! Enamel lets us play with all sorts of color while torch-firing enamels eliminates the need for a kiln.
You will learn the the safe use of enamels, a butane torche and an air/acetylene torch, plus a variety of ways to embellish your torch-fired creations.
As a bonus, in this class you will also learn how to cut and texture your own base shapes using disc cutters, dapping blocks, and a rolling mill.
The Class Fee includes all instruction, use of the studio facilities, and a complete set of instructional handouts.
The additional required Kit Fee includes sheet copper, a pair of hypo-allergenic earwires, jump rings, safety mask, enamels, and consumables such as gas for the torches.
