Open Again

Creator Haven is open again — hopefully permanently this time!

In person classes will re-start in July. We are currently working on a schedule but we can always accommodate individual or group private classes — just let us know what you are interested in learning!

(Currently masks are required for visitors who are not fully vaccinated.)

Limited Re-Opening!

Santa Cruz County got back to Tier Red this week and we (finally) got to reopen on a limited basis. For now we are open on a limited capacity basis to members and by appointment for private classes. Hopefully we will be able to expand further in the coming weeks and months.

And, of course, our Gallery Store and Tools and Materials Retail Shop continue to be ready to serve your needs. Just use out Contact Form or email us at info@creatorhaven.com!

Need tools or Supplies?

Need a tool or materials for your home jewelry studio right now? We have a variety available in our retail store for curbside, contact-free pick-up. Just click on the picture below to take a short tour of our store!

Creator Haven LLC Retail Store

If you think we might have what you need, just Contact Us to confirm availability and pricing. In some cases we can also ship products to you.

Sorry, but we do not offer online shopping for these items — it is simply too much overhead for our wide variety, but low sales volume of products. But please visit our Gallery Store to shop for beautiful glass and jewelry creations!

Now We’re Open and … Now we’re Open On-Line Only

Exactly 2 months ago we blogged that limited opening looked possible in the near future. And for the last 6 weeks we have been open on a very limited, members only, by appointment only basis. But nothing stays the same and with today’s news for California and Santa Cruz County we are once again closed for in-person studio activities and classes. We are still able to supplytools and materials by mail or contact free pick-up. Please let us know when you need anything.

With the Holidays coming, please check out our Gallery Store for some cool fused glass and, soon, jewelry gifts. If you see something you like, just contact us to get your COVID-19 Discount Code.

In the meantime we hope that you are staying safe and following the experts’ advice.

Long, Strange Trip…. and it’s not over!

This week marks the 6 month anniversary of the COVID-19 closure of Creator Haven. We are still closed but we are not out of business yet and looking forward to the gradual resumption of operations!

Among our Members and Friends there have been some close calls and catastrophic losses both from COVID-19 and the wildfires. They are on our minds and in our hearts. We fervently hope that you and yours remain healthy and safe.

During the closure we have remained busy. Pat made a COVID quilt, finished a crocheted Afghan she started 10+ years ago, finished a baby blanket, crocheted a really cool hat and more. Glenn went back to being a (non-professional) Python programmer and largely completed development of a custom inventory and accounting package for Creator Haven, became a Zoom gourmand and thought of lots of things he could and should do but didn’t actually do. We also spent about two weeks completing a physical count of Creator Haven’s inventory – a project that was somewhat overdue.

With Santa Cruz County moving from Purple to Red we are contemplating what re-opening may look like. In-person classes are still beyond the current event horizon, but providing highly limited studio access to our Studio Members is starting to look practical. In the meantime, if you have something to be fired or need to purchase tools or material, please get in touch and we can make arrangements.

For now stay safe and stay healthy — we wish you well!

— Pat and Glenn
