Sterling silver metal clay is like magic! It starts in clay form and then fires in a kiln to a solid sterling silver finished product.
Learn to work with the metal clay, including proper forming, firing, finishing techniques, and design considerations. Learn the use of tools such as ring sizers, ring mandrels, and metal clay specialty tools, as well as techniques for repairing breaks both before and after firing.
We’ll use Sterling Silver metal clay (.925 pure silver) to make one or more strong, beautiful rings just right for you, or as a gift for someone you love.
Beginners are welcome! Rings will be available for pickup one week after class. This class is offered through Cabrillo Extension.
This is the second of two 3-hour sessions: Wed August 14 & 21, 6:00 to 9:00PM
