Play with colorful glass and learn about glass fusing – the magical interaction of glass and heat – as you make whimsical glass-art for your garden or home. Create abstract patterns or garden imagery in this easy project. Learn to cut, layer, and design art glass, and how the glass reacts in the kiln to create design elements. We’ll use embellishments and inclusions, and cover safety practices as well. Students may add hardware after firing to facilitate display in a yard, garden, or home. If time permits students may make a second piece in class for a $25 materials fee paid to the instructor.
Materials fee includes use of all tools, kiln firing, glass, and consumable supplies.
No experience required! Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Class size is limited to 6 so register early
Please note that all students who participate in classes offered at Creator Haven must be vaccinated, and will be asked to confirm their vaccination status when they arrive. Students will also be asked to complete additional health and safety forms upon arrival.
