Play with colorful glass and learn about glass fusing – the magical interaction of glass and heat – as you make whimsical glass-art for your yard or garden. Create abstract patterns, or springtime garden imagery in this easy project that is perfect for this one day workshop. Learn to cut, layer and design art glass, and how the glass reacts in the kiln to create design elements. We’ll use embellishments and inclusions, and cover safety practices as well. Student may add hardware after firing to transform their art glass into pieces that can be displayed outdoors.
No experience necessary! Class size is limited to 5 so register early!
Kiln fusing of your piece(s) will take place after class. Your piece will be ready to add an optional stake or other hardware and take home 1 week after class.
