This is Session 1 of a 2 Session class which runs on two Saturdays – Session 1 is on May 5 and Session 2 is on May 12.
Create a colorful fused and slumped glass plate as you play with colorful glass and learn about glass fusing – the magical interaction of glass and heat!
In Session 1 you will learn to cut glass, understand the elements of glass that control the end result, and add embellishments to design 3 small trinket dishes. These will be fired after the class and ready for you in Session 2.
In Session 2, we’ll inspect your dishes to see what worked and what could be improved. You will learn to refine your work by grinding, how to prepare molds for slumping, and learn about firing schedules and how to program a kiln. Then you’ll use what you learned to create a plate or bowl or candle holder. This will be fired and shaped in one of our molds, ready for pickup in one week. We provide all the tools you need.
The total tuition fee, including both Sessions, is $120 plus a $75 materials and firing fee to be paid in class.Reservations
