Once you know how to work with essential jewelry tools and procedures, it’s time to move on to more advanced techniques such as soldering, bezel setting stones, tube setting, making rings and more.
During the four Wednesday evening sessions of Jewelry Basics 2 you will learn to use a simple butane torch as well as a professional air/acetylene torch. You will learn: stone setting with bezels, tube settings, piercing, ring making, sweat soldering, pick soldering, and more.
You will make a unique pendant or brooch as well as a set of silver stacking rings.
In this class we will be using sterling, fine silver, and copper as well as genuine gemstones. The Class Fee of $280 includes all instruction, use of studio tools and equipment and a complete set of the instructional handouts. The Class Fee does not include the required Materials Fee of $90 which will be collected during the first session of the class.
